Çï¿ûapp’s Ellen Miller Named to Wright State University Board of Trustees

DAYTON, Ohio (CARESOURCE) — Çï¿ûapp’s Ellen Miller, associate vice president for Community Relations and the Çï¿ûapp Foundation, has been appointed to the Wright State University Board of Trustees by Ohio Governor Mike DeWine. The board is the governing body of the University and trustees serve nine-year terms.

Wright State University is a national public university in Dayton, Ohio with more than 11,000 students. It offers 315 degree programs across its six colleges, a medical school and a branch campus in Celina, Ohio.

 “The appointees by Governor DeWine possess expertise in areas of strategic importance to the university,” said Tom Gunlock, chair of the Wright State University Board of Trustees. “We sincerely appreciate the governor’s careful selection of appointees with leadership experience in both health care and defense industries.”

Wright State President Sue Edwards echoed Gunlock’s enthusiasm for the governor’s appointments.

“I am very thankful to Governor DeWine for appointing strong community leaders from the Dayton region to the Board of Trustees at such an exciting time for the university,” Edwards added.

In her role at Çï¿ûapp, Ellen oversees the annual allocation distribution of approximately $3.5 million from the Çï¿ûapp Foundation to organizations that share Çï¿ûapp’s mission and help improve health care and wellbeing. She also leads the company’s community relations efforts across the nation.

“I am honored and excited to play an active role in the board’s unwavering commitment to fostering the success of Wright State University students and administrators for future generations,” said Miller.

Before joining Çï¿ûapp in 2022, Ellen was the director of development at Altafiber, where she was responsible for establishing and increasing market share. She also spent more than 16 years at Fifth Third Bank where she served in multiple capacities, including risk management.

Ellen is an active leader in the Dayton community and serves on the Boards of Directors of the Boys and Girls Club of Dayton, Archbishop Alter High School and the Levitt Pavilion.

A lifetime Daytonian, Ellen holds a degree in business administration and finance from the University of Dayton. She resides in Dayton with her husband, Adam and their three children.
